You already know the rising weekly bar works. Here's everything your HR lead or office manager needs to say yes, including why it beats the step challenge they ran last year, plus a free pilot so nobody has to ask for budget.

What HR gets

  • Free 4-week pilot for up to 25 people
  • A team race that keeps eliminated people engaged
  • No admin, no spreadsheets, no device purchases
  • The full page and a call if they want one

The two-paragraph pitch

Hi,

A few of us use an app called Last Person Standing for fitness challenges and I think it would work really well as an office thing. It's the step up from a step challenge: it counts heart-rate effort instead of steps, so a brisk walk counts the same as a run and people actually get fitter. It runs as a team race, so nobody gets left out when they miss a week.

They do a free 4-week pilot for up to 25 people with no admin on our side. Details here: https://lpschallenge.com/corporate. Would you be up for trying it?

What they'll ask you

Answers you can give on the spot

"Didn't we already do a step challenge?"

Yes, and the steps probably stopped the week it ended. This scores heart-rate effort, which builds fitness, and the competition is what makes it stick.

"Do we need to buy watches?"

No. Most people have one. For anyone who doesn't, a basic heart-rate band is under CAD 60.

"Is it fair to non-runners?"

Yes, that's the point. It scores time in heart-rate zones, not pace or distance.

"What does the company see?"

A leaderboard with names and minutes. No health data, no routes.

Or hand it off
